Party Government in Europe Database (PAGED) <\/strong>was an infrastructure project that built on the previous international and comparative projects on European parliamentary democracy that are available here on REPDEM and concern key issues of today’s representative democracy namely delegation, accountability, government formation, governance and government dissolution. <\/span>The data that these projects collected was updated and partially revised (for example, in able to satisfactory be able to study of government dissolution), as well as providing several alternative datasets (i.e. traditional cabinet level data; \u201cpotential coalition\u201d data; yearly and quarterly and monthly data combined with economic indicators and public opinion data). This will enable new comparative studies of representative democracy, its challenges and possible room for reforms. The update and expansion of these datasets were made by the project participants, as well as using \u201ccountry experts\u201d, i.e. colleagues around Europe between 2016 and 2021. The first completed datasets was released during 2021 and 2022, and the most updated versions can be found under Current Main datasets<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The research project was financed by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond for the period 2016-2021.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
