Recent changes (June 2025)

This release updates the data to mid-2025, adds a few new variables, and fixes some coding errors. All changes are documented in detail in the change log. Below is a short summary:

• New governments added – approximately 15 new cabinets have been added to the basic datasets since our previous release in March 2025.
• Several new variables have been added in both the Basic dataset and the Party dataset.
• This update introduces a new cabinet ID structure. The old standard is also included. 
• V-Dem indices are included in the Basic dataset.
• Missing data added for some variables
• Some coding errors have been corrected
