New data release (October 2026)

A new version of the REPDEM dataset is now available. The dataset has been updated through 30 September 2026 and incorporates cabinet terminations, newly formed cabinets, and corrections to previously identified coding errors. All changes are documented in the change log.

This release also introduces a new dataset on lower-house elections. The first version covers parties and electoral alliances that won at least one seat. Future releases will extend the dataset to include all parties and electoral alliances that received at least 1 percent of the vote.

Both datasets are available for download from the current datasets page.

REPDEM data can now also be explored through our new online interface. Select a country to browse individual elections, cabinets, and parties and access more detailed information in the REPDEM Data Explorer.
